Next Wave Systems, LLC is a start-up company formed in October of 2005 with its headquarters and principal work location in Pekin, IN. Since 2005 NWS has grown from 3 employess to 15 fulltime and 2 part-time employees.
The Pekin location offers the company the Historically Underutilized Business Zone(HUBZone) designation as defined by the U.S. Small Business Administration.
Focused primarily on the federal sector, our key employees possess over 90 years’ experience in designing, developing, acquiring, deploying and supporting myriad military systems, subsystems and components. Next Wave’s management team includes three former senior-level managers at the Naval Surface Warfare Center, Crane Division. A necessary tenet of our vision is to create high-paying, “high-tech” jobs within Indiana by achieving significant growth through technological innovation, efficient productivity, effective marketing, and unsurpassed customer service. We are building our company on the fundamental principles of integrity, honesty, experience, expertise and an uncompromising Hoosier work ethic.
Next Wave Systems, LLC is working hard to develop mutually-beneficial business alliances with industry partners, academia, and various Government agencies. Teaming relationships have already been established with companies such as Science Applications International Corporation (SAIC), EG&G Technical Services, Inc., Coherent Systems International Corporation, and Tri-Star Engineering. Next Wave Systems, LLC is a prime contractor under the U.S. Navy’s SeaPort-e multiple award engineering and technical services contract. We were recently awarded a Small Business Technology Transfer (STTR) Phase I contract by the Defense Advanced Research Projects Agency (DARPA) that is based on a collaborative effort with Purdue University in West Lafayette. We have also received a significant prime contract from the Department of Energy’s National Nuclear Security Administration (NNSA) to install a wireless security system at NNSA’s Y-12 complex located in Oak Ridge, Tennessee.
