NEXT WAVE SYSTEMS, Success Stories

-Successful Wireless Demonstration for Department of Energy–
Next Wave Systems demonstrates the advanced wireless technology for the Ridge Monitoring System (RMS) to be installed on a Department of Energy site. The demonstration used both Canopy and MotoMesh product lines from Motorola. Live video from four static camera feeds were encoded and displayed within a simulated Operations Center (OC). Two additional high-end Pan/Tilt/Zoom capable cameras (Camera 1 Vendor: BAI (DLTV Only), Camera 2 Vendor: WESCAM14/L3 (DLTV/SPOTTER/Infrared/LaserRangeFinder)) were also present on the wireless link with active control from a universal joystick controlled mapping system. The Video was encoded using Mango digital encoders. PTZ cameras were placed on the dynamic maps for
situational awareness and integrated control using Next Wave's MMPC
software suite.

-Next Wave releases off-site integrated SSM Repository web-site for MSC - February 1st, 2007–
Next Wave Systems worked with Crane Engineers to develop an integrated Software/Hardware/Software web representation of the Shipboard Security Module ship configurations. The web based interface allows all SSM personnel to observe pertinent information at a glance from all over the world. This is another step in increasing knowledge and sharing constantly changing information.

-Next Wave Systems completed One Day OTP on USNS Pathfinder - January 18th, 2007–
NWS employee Mark Koi and government software engineering representative Dave Whelan completed a one day Operation Test Procedure (OTP) onboard the USNS Pathfinder. The system installation support specialist, Bill Staples, started the software installation in synchronization with hardware efforts to complete an OTP in one day. This was a first of a kind for the SSM installation and test team.
